Additional Funding
Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. It was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years. Looked after children and those of service personnel also attract funding.

Sports Premium
The government also provides school with a PE and Sports Grant, aimed at improving the provision of PE and sport so that all pupils engage in regular physical activity and develop healthy lifestyles.
Recovery Premium
In February 2021, the government announced a one-off recovery premium to support education recovery. The Recovery Premium provides additional funding for the 2024/25 academic year.
Building on the pupil premium, this additional funding will help Woodsetton to deliver evidence based approaches for supporting our disadvantaged pupils.
